Love La Mirada is excited to announce that we have been chosen to have a partnership this year with the Kiwanis club in running a firework booth. The booth will be located at Imperial/Santa Gertrudes in the Grocery Outlet shopping center. The booth is a neat opportunity for Love La Mirada to raise capital to fund Love La Mirada 2021 and beyond.

We need your help.    We are looking for volunteers between July 1st-5th to work in the firework stand.    Volunteers must be 18 years and older.

As a way to thank you, we are going to draw winners for ten $50.00 gift cards for local restaurants and businesses in LM, and three family pack (4 tickets) to Splash and one GRAND PRIZE 2 Park Hopper Tickets to Disneyland.

So please click on the Volunteer or Project buttons above to sign up today.

Please use the CONTACT button to request additional information regarding the project. Thank you for your support.

Inspired by the Love Our Cities movement started in Modesto, California, Love La Mirada began with the support of a dozen local church leaders who met together to consider how they might challenge their congregations to partner with other organizations and residents of La Mirada for the good of our city. Others joined together to form a team to start up an official organization dedicated to helping people discover more about our city, serve together to improve our neighborhoods, and connect with other residents of La Mirada into greater community.

In continuing our mission to serve our great city, Love La Mirada is working on our fifth annual city-wide Day of Service, with projects in parks, schools, and neighborhoods, which will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020.  This year, we are hosting the event at Splash!   All volunteers are welcome to enjoy the park's facility after lunch until the park closes at 5PM.  The La Mirada City Council, Chamber of Commerce, and many volunteer organizations are excited about this movement — we hope you will join us as well!
